19th Century Afghan Jezail Flintlock Rifle

19th Century Afghan Jezail Flintlock Rifle. This one of a kind antique is a shorter version of its longer counterpart the Jetzail (a long usually handmade firearm). This type of weapon is commonly found in parts of South Asia and the Middle East and was mostly used during the Anglo-Afghan Wars between approximately 1838 to 1880. The item is heavily adorned with what it seems to be mother of pearl or bone this indicating to the handmade aspect of the item. The condition of the flintlock is not great because of age and wear.
