Two opportunities to Partner with environmental nonprofit Big Reuse for Corporate Volunteer Days!
Street Tree Care Volunteer Days
Teams work with our tree care staff to clean and care for city street trees. Volunteers follow our 5-step tree care method, which includes cleaning the bed, pulling weeds, aerating soil, add compost/mulch, and cleanup the area. Volunteers see firsthand how tree care helps build healthy soil and supports urban ecosystems as they tend to tree beds together. Many projects happen in Environmental Justice neighborhoods, making a real difference for both the trees and the people who live there. All tools provided, and all experience levels encouraged.
Reuse Center Volunteer Days
At our Gowanus, Brooklyn Reuse Center (thrift store) at 1 12th St, corporate teams help keep materials in use, diverting them from landfills, by sorting donations, organizing shelves, and getting secondhand items ready for new homes. This hands-on work is a fun way to see how reuse cuts down on waste and supports local sustainability.
