Pride Month is all about celebrating, expressing yourself, and coming together as a community. No matter if you’re going to a parade, a local event, a rooftop get-together, or a party with friends, you don’t have to buy something new to create your Pride look.
Our Bushwick Reuse Center thrift store (378 Troutman Street, Brooklyn, NY 11237) and Gowanus Reuse Center thrift store (1 12th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215) have colorful clothing, vintage pieces, accessories, home décor, and one-of-a-kind finds that can help you celebrate in a way that feels personal and creative. Shopping secondhand with us means you’ll find something special and help reduce waste by keeping good items in use.
One great thing about thrifting is that every item has its own story. You could find a bold jacket, a bright scarf, fun jewelry, shoes, or a statement bag that makes your Pride outfit feel true to you. Whether your style is colorful, vintage, comfortable, or completely unique, thrift shopping lets you express yourself while supporting reuse and sustainability.
If you're hosting a Pride gathering, our Reuse Center thrift stores are also perfect for finding secondhand home goods. You can pick up glassware, serving trays, picture frames, lamps, colorful decorations, and small furniture to make your space inviting and give these items a new life. Pride while reducing waste. Every purchase at Big Reuse helps support our community-based environmental work across New York City, including community composting, street tree care, environmental education, reuse initiatives, and volunteer opportunities.
Donate Your Pride Items After the Celebration
If you have clothes, accessories, decorations, or home goods you don’t need after Pride Month, think about donating them to Big Reuse. Our thrift stores help keep good items out of landfills and make secondhand finds more widely available in New York. Donation rules are different at Bushwick and Gowanus, so please check what each location accepts before you donate.
