Over the past few months, The Big Reuse’s street tree care team has been hard at work partnering with community groups and schools throughout Brooklyn and Queens neighborhoods to host hands-on, eco-friendly volunteer events for all ages. Between February and April, they’ve engaged 440 volunteers—including 132 youth—and worked with 26 community partners to care for 370 street trees across NYC!
A huge thank you to all of the City Council Members who fund this programming in their districts, as well as CBRE Thrive Fund for providing additional funding and our community partners for collaborating on these events!
