The Curbside Composting team is back in Brooklyn and we want to attend your events! We’re still wrapping up our canvassing efforts, so email us with outreach inquiries for the end of September through December.
As a refresher, our team pairs informational tabling with free giveaways of kitchen food scrap containers, leaf bags, and/or 1lb bags of compost. We can also bring a demo DSNY Brown Bin and help folks order their own! Live in a large highrise with 10+ apartments? We’re happy to coordinate with building management to table in your lobby. Examples of other events we frequently table at include Open Street fairs, festivals, back-to-school drives, block parties, and community cleanups, just to name a few!

Brooklyn residents, order your free brown bin by October 13 at nyc.gov/curbsidecomposting. Service starts October 2; put your bin out every week on your recycling day!
