So far this year - thanks to our supporters - Big Reuse:
- Cared for 1200 street trees in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan with hundreds of volunteers.
- Conducted 94 Compost Application and Education events across 13 districts
- Composted a total of 2,153,136 lbs (1,076 tons!)
- Spoke to over 75,000 people about curbside organic waste collection
- 44,815 pieces of clothing
- 27,561 books
- 6,600 pieces of furniture
- 95,926 home goods - anything from tchotchkes to plates
Plus so much more! These numbers do not even include everything we recycled, including damaged textiles, books, metal and electronics.
