Tree Guard Project Kit
Our street tree guard design meets all required NYC Parks Department specifications. The tree guard is three sided and constructed with seven green baked enamel coated steel u-channel posts and pressure treated lumber rails with a subtle tapered design at the curbside edge. The tree guard kit includes all hardware and materials custom cut to your tree bed measurements.

Tree Guard Project Kits now cost $375 for Individual NYC residents, $425 for non-profits, and $475 for private entities, and all purchases are non-refundable.(If you are a non-profit and want to apply your tax exempt status please email treeguards@bigreuse.org before making your purchase.)

You must secure a Tree Work Permit from the NYC Parks Department in order to purchase a kit in the approved pilot program area, which excludes historic districts.

Your Tree Guard Project Kit will be ready for pick up to 14 days from the date of purchase pickup at the Big Reuse Center at 1 12th St in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

You will need a vehicle to transport your materials, which may be up to 10 feet in length depending on the size of your tree bed.
