Gardeners, plant parents, and tree lovers or anyone else who wants to get their hands on some free compost, listen up! You have a couple options, so we’ll break it down for you.
If you’re just looking for small amounts of compost for personal use, your best bet would be to come to grab a free 1lb bag at an event with the Curbside Composting Outreach team. We’re all over Brooklyn— you can stay up to date with our events on this newsletter or on Instagram. Your other option is to come by our table at the Big Reuse warehouse every Thursday from 3pm-6pm.
If you are part of a non-profit looking for bulk compost, you can request a delivery of bagged compost when the form opens in February 2024. The link can be found here.
If you are part of a non-profit and have an open-bed vehicle with vehicle bed cover (tarp, fabric cover, etc.) then you can fill out a form to pick up compost from the Staten Island facility at any time. The link can be found here.
